Experience prehistoric wonders like never before at Dinosaurs: The Exhibition. This limited-time experience is being held at the TELUS World of Science in Edmonton (TWOSE) from March 23rd to September 9th.
Adventure back in time to see skeletons of dinosaurs from around the world which date back to the Jurassic, Triassic and Cretaceous periods. With over 10,000 square feet in the exhibit space, attendees of all ages will be thoroughly entertained. The two crowning attractions of the exhibition are a 65-foot replica Diplodocus - which is made to match the scale of the ones that once roamed the Earth - and an Edmontonsaurus skull cast, which was from a local dinosaur who was first discovered in 1912 in the Drumheller area. Be immersed in the experience of primitive life with life-like sounds and animatronics with ultra-realistic movements. The exhibit is accompanied by an IMAX movie ‘Dinosaurs of Antarctica’ - a 45-minute 3D experience that will take viewers back in time to discover evidence of a lost world frozen beneath the ice and snow.
For younger exhibitgoers, there are many interactive activities to keep them entertained. They can become a palaeontologist and use tools to excavate fossils in their two dig sites. There is also a Tots Explorer Tent where kids can hear stories, complete dinosaur puzzles, analyze fossil evidence and so much more.
Entry into this exhibit is included in general admission, which ranges from $19.95 to $25.95 with family rates available. To purchase a package including access to the IMAX theatre, the prices will range from $27.95 to $36.95 with family rates available as well. Tickets are available online. The museum is open 9:00am to 5:00pm every day and parking is available onsite.
