Every day there is a fitness walk anyone can join, and there are cool seasonal activities like Safari Jeff's 2018 Animalogy Tour the weekend before Halloween, and The Great Indoors Trick-or-Treating happening Halloween evening.
It's worth the 15-minute drive to Parkland Mall! Once the city's first regional shopping mall, Parkland has expanded and renovated to become a modern and relaxed environment. There are over 100 stores including Walmart, Winners, and Staples. The Bear House, where kids can create their own plush toys, is a kid-favourite; and Tinkers Nook is the best place to find unique gifts.
When looking for locally owned and operated businesses for holiday or personal shopping, downtown Red Deer is our first stop. There are over 400 shops and services available downtown, with some of our favourites being 53rd Street Music, Chronicles Comics + Café, Housewarmings, and Country Cupboard.
