Prepare to bust a gut at the 2023 Edmonton Comedy Festival!
This is the 13th consecutive year for the non-profit festival as they strive to bring humour to the community with prominent guests and comedy sets that will have you laughing all night long.
This 4-day event runs Sept. 27th to 30th over 10 stages in the Edmonton area. Enjoy dinner and a show at the Spotlight Cabaret, bask in the unique ambiance of the ATB Financial Arts Barns, and place a bet on the slots and tables at the Century Casino before heading to Yuk Yuk’s for the show.
This year, the Edmonton Comedy Festival is bringing in 20 comedians, ranging from right here in Edmonton to across Canada and the United States. Featured at the event are Andrew Grose – the producer of the event – as well as Leland Klassen, Shayma Tash, Sunee Dhaliwal and Emmy-nominated Lamont Ferguson. For frequent goers of the Spotlight Cabaret, you may recognize performers Aimée Beaudoin and Jeff Halaby, the co-owners of the restaurant. All these comedians are renowned in their craft, earning them numerous award nominations, guest spots on television and radio shows – such as CBC’s Laugh Out Loud, The Tonight Show, Comedy Central and even their own Amazon Prime specials – and appearances on some of the most prestigious stages in Canada, like Just For Laughs and the Calgary Stampede Grandstand Show.
Tickets are available online and at select venues. Be sure to check the availability and grab your passes soon because nights are selling out fast.
